The handle of the FKX Dagger is made from Maple Burl wood, providing a durable yet comfortable grip for optimal maneuverability. These handles were finished with pointed checkering that mimics the grip of a classic wooden rifle. Additionally, the handle is secured with three individually set and polished copper pins, seamlessly blending functionality with aesthetics while ensuring the structural integrity of the handle. Historical Significance

The Fairbairn-Sykes Fighting Knife came to life during the tumultuous era of the Shanghai Municipal Police (SMP), conceived by two legends of close-quarters combat: Lieutenant-Colonel William Ewart Fairbairn and Major Eric Anthony Sykes. Their innovative design aimed to create the ultimate combat knife, leading to the first batch of 50 knives produced by the renowned Wilkinson Sword Ltd. in Sheffield in 1941. The FKX Dagger reflects this rich heritage, initially embraced by elite Allied commands, including the Special Operations Executive (SOE), Special Air Service (SAS), and the Office of Strategic Services (OSS) during World War II.

As the war progressed, the knife became increasingly integrated into regular military units, embodying the essence of special operations forces across various nations. Today, it remains a symbolic element of insignia for paratroopers and special forces, recognized for its lethal efficiency and iconic design.
